Get Your Resume Ready Before You Get Busy – we are open!

The last few weeks of summer are an excellent time to update your resume with your summer job or internship, and to get it reviewed before the semester busyness sets in.

Even if you think your resume is good to go, we can definitely find ways to make it better and help you stand out among your peers.  We regularly see resumes submitted for positions that do not meet the standard for an acceptable resume, so it is vital that you get yours checked out by a career advisor.

To that end, you can schedule an appointment with us via Handshake (you already have an account.  Log in with your UMass login, fill in your proferences, and go to the Career Center tab on your dashboard.  Click on Appointments and the rest is self-guided.

OR – if you think your resume is in good shape, you can email it to sbscareers@umass.edu for review.  This option should not be used if you have never had your resume looked at before, or if this is your first draft.

Please review our resume guide, and these samples, to get a sense of formatting.
