It’s Career Fair Season – are you ready?

Starting in mid-September, the fall UMass career fair season gets underway.

Of particular note to SBS majors are the Isenberg Virtual Career Day, on Sept. 29th, the Tech Jobs & Internships Fair (both in-person and virtual) on Oct. 6th, and our Non-Profit, Government & Social Impact Virtual Career Fair on Oct. 13th.

You can check out any of these fairs right now in Handshake to see which employers have already registered, and be ready on the Handshake fair platform, because ON SEPT. 22nd AT 8:00 am, you can start signing up for meetings with recruiters at the Isenberg Fair.  You should not delay, because slots will fill quickly.

Here’s Handshake’s handy guide on attending a virtual career fair.

Pro-Tip: Start getting your Handshake profile set up and filled in/updated before the 22nd, including a work-appropriate photo, so that once you register and sign up for meetings, employers can view your completed profile.  AND – have your resume reviewed in the SBS Pathways Center before uploading it for employers to see!

SBS will be hosting several career fair prep sessions in September and October, so keep an eye on the events calendar for those.
