Summer Research Fellowship Opportunity!

The UMass Center for Justice, Law, and Societies and the Academic Fellows Program invites students to apply for our inaugural summer undergraduate research fellowship. All participating students will earn $5000 of summer funding, working approximately 30 hours each week for up to 12 weeks.  With support from CJLS and AFP, the awarded fellow will conduct original research with a faculty member, providing exposure to research design, methods, and publication, while also being mentored by the faculty member.  Summer research fellows will also participate in research trainings.

If you’re interested in the summer research fellowship and want to learn more about the summer research projects, go to this form: (https://forms.gle/PsW3s1VBsd2Ro4XN9).  Applications are due on April 4th, and awards will be announced by April 20th.

For information about this summer research fellowship, as well as other campus funding opportunities, come to an informational session on Thursday, March 31 in Machmer E-32 between 5:00pm and 7:00pm.  Food will be provided!  If you have any questions, please reach out to Dr. Jamie Rowen (CJLS Director) at jrowen@umass.edu, or Dr. Felicia Griffin-Fennell (AFP Director) at fgriffinfenn@umass.edu.
