Massachusetts Business Front Door
Massachusetts Business Front Door (BFD) is dedicated to fostering accessibility and inclusivity within the Commonwealth’s online resources. Guided by federal standards and the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) guidelines, we strive to ensure all users, including individuals with disabilities, can access and benefit from our digital platforms.
You must be ready and willing to commit 5 days a week (37.5 hours a week for 10 weeks) or as per your supervisor and/or business need.
The internship program will run from approximately June 2025, through August 2025. Interviews will be held both in-person and/or virtually.
$18 – $21 an hour – Salary is compensable with work experience and education level.
BFD Internship Provides Experience in the Following Opportunity To:
- Hands-on experience in data analysis and visualization within a government setting.
- The opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that promote accessibility and inclusivity.
- Exposure to the intersection of data, technology, and public service
- Participate in our intern orientation, technical training and development program designed to provide the tools needed to contribute efficiently.
- Experience on-the-job training through real work engagements, showcasing how your academic experience translates to the professional environment.
- Learn directly from experienced associates, seniors, managers and partners with specialized experience and technical knowledge across numerous industries and services.
- Build peer networks and strong work relationships while gaining valuable experience.
- Demonstrate your performance and ability to join a government agency.
Qualifications:
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a program in Data Analytics, Business, Technology, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with Tableau or similar data visualization tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of data workflows, reporting, and visualization techniques
- Interested in sales and/or marketing
