The RISE Internship is a year-long placement that provides recent college graduates the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the mental health field. As a member of the RISE program, interns work as a direct care staff in Eliada’s two psychiatric residential treatment facilities (PRTFs) and transitional level III program. Throughout their time at Eliada, interns become familiar with how to work and interact with children and adolescents who have been diagnosed with a variety of mental illnesses, from post-traumatic stress to oppositional defiant disorder. Interns are also able to participate in the many therapeutic and recreational activities that we have in place for our students.
The internship includes:
*Some meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) at no extra cost
*40 hours scheduled weekly, opportunities for overtime
* A generous benefits package, including healthcare, vacation, completion bonuses, and sick time
* Full-time training and work opportunities in a dynamic environment
* Fully furnished housing and basic utilities included
* Unlimited access to all campus facilities
This is a unique opportunity to acquire job-ready skills and credentials that will set you apart from the competition. Many of our former interns have gained admission into top graduate programs after completing the RISE internship. Others have moved on to obtain full-time positions with other agencies, or even chosen to stay at Eliada to further advance their careers.
