Crew Member Job Description

The purpose of this position is to install landscapes that are designed by both GreenWeaver and by outside sources. Work involves hand tools, power equipment, and heavy equipment. Work is performed in both hardscaping and softscaping.

Crew Member Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Reflect GreenWeaver’s core values of Quality, People, and Environmental Stewardship.
o Perform work that meets and exceeds client expectations, without cutting corners. Maintain a clean job site, truck, and shop.
o Treat all people in a respectful and understanding manner. Work with crewmates to share the workload evenly amongst the team.
• Follow instructions from Crew Leader and ask questions if instructions are unclear.
• Maintain efficiency and productivity as set by Crew Leader.
• Arrive on time in uniform and ready to begin work each morning.
• Load trucks based on requirements of daily jobs and according to Crew Leader directions.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully to customers, crew, and management.
• Work long days and in all weather conditions. Some weekend work is required.
• Have the ability to repeatedly lift 50 lbs.
• Be a supportive team member and immediately bring any concerns regarding quality, safety, or other workplace violations to supervisor.
Crew Members benefit from experience or knowledge in the following areas:
• Native plants, stormwater management, landscape construction, and integrated pest management.
• Grading, including swales, bio swales, and rain gardens.
• Ability to read landscape plans.
• Driving a truck with a trailer and using heavy equipment
Compensation: Based on experience, starting from $18.00 per hour. Benefits include accrued paid time off, holiday pay, group health insurance, and professional development.
