The Massachusetts Export Center (www.mass.gov/export) is seeking interns to assist with high-level client research. Because of our small staff, interns have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects which they would not necessarily have exposure to in a larger organization. Client projects may include regulatory research, multi-country and industry analyses, distributor searches, and more. Interns’ special capabilities and interests, such as course of study, foreign language skills and computer skills will be taken into consideration when assigning projects.
Interns may also be called upon to assist in preparing for our annual Export Expo taking place in January, which will be virtual this year. More information about the event can be found at www.mass.gov/export/expo. This website will be updated as more details are confirmed for this year’s event. Intern responsibilities include identifying and recruiting sponsors; maintaining databases of clients, client prospects, sponsor prospects and partners; and assisting with logistics, coordination and marketing of the Export Expo and other training programs. Interns may also have the opportunity to provide support with other training as needed.
Prospective interns will have excellent written and verbal skills in English; attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to work independently as well as part of a team; strong computer skills; and a high degree of reliability and dependability. Education/background in international business is preferred, but not required.
Interns will be working mostly remotely with some potential office time. We ask for 16 hours/week, though this is negotiable.
