Annaly is currently the Senior Homeowner Programs Coordinator at The Massachusetts Housing Partnership (MHP) – a self-supporting public non-profit organization that works with state government and with business, civic and community leaders to increase the supply of affordable housing across the Commonwealth. In her role, she works with programs supporting first-time homeowners, helping low- and moderate-income families purchase their first home. Prior to her work with MHP, Annaly worked for two years as an AmeriCorps Legal Advocate in Cambridge, MA at Somerville and Cambridge Legal Services office, working on a variety of civil matters including but not limited to: education, mental health, and elder law. In her first year, she served as a housing advocate at the Justice Center of Southeast Massachusetts LLC in Brockton, MA, where she assisted her supervising attorney in providing counsel, brief service, or full representation of low income clients in housing or benefits legal matters. Annaly spent the summer after graduation as Special Projects Coordinator for the EXPLO summer program at Yale, prior to beginning her AmeriCorps year of service. Following her semester abroad at University of Cape Town, Annaly worked as an Ambassador for IES Abroad, where she promoted the global education experience to her peers here at UMass.
While at UMass, Annaly:
o Was involved with the Cape Verdean Student Alliance (CVSA)
o Studied abroad at the University of Cape Town in South Africa
