Ella Khorov is a senior policy advisor in the US House of Representatives, with CA Congressman Tony Cárdenas’ office.  She began working for Rep. Cardenas in 2020 as a legislative health fellow, and has advanced through roles such as staff & press assistant, legislative aide, and policy advisor. At UMass Amherst, she focused on incarceration and, more broadly, issues of inequity, receiving her degrees in Social Thought and Political Economy (STPEC) and Communications. After her first internship on the Hill in 2018 with Congresswoman Niki Tsongas, as part of the founding SBS in DC Program cohort, she became passionate about policy solutions and driven to return to the space. Ella has since worked as an intern for the Treatment Advocacy Center and the Justice Collaborative. Upon graduating in 2019, she supported SBS in DC as the program fellow, mentoring and teaching professional development to interns.
