Ella Khorov is the legislative health fellow in Congressman Tony Cárdenas’ office. At UMass Amherst, she focused on incarceration and, more broadly, issues of inequity, receiving her degrees in Social Thought and Political Economy (STPEC) and Communications. After her first internship on the Hill in 2018 with Congresswoman Niki Tsongas, as part of the founding SBS in DC Program cohort, she became passionate about policy solutions and driven to return to the space. Ella has since worked as an intern for the Treatment Advocacy Center and the Justice Collaborative. Upon graduating in 2019, she supported SBS in DC as the program fellow, mentoring and teaching professional development to interns. In her current position in the office of Congressman Cárdenas, she works with the legislative team on issues of health equity, immigrant health, and behavioral health.
