Erin Buechele is the Relational Organizing Coordinator for the Massachusetts Democratic Party. She joined the team as Special Elections Coordinator in February of 2020. Having wrapped up those elections with four for four wins and three red to blue flips, she kept the momentum going as an Elections Coordinator through the 2020 cycle. Erin worked with the Georgia Democratic Party’s Voter Protection Team to design and manage a volunteer retention program for their ballot curing operation, securing two Democratic seats in the Senate. A University of Massachusetts – Amherst graduate, Erin spent her time in Western Massachusetts studying social theory and political economics, organizing grassroots initiatives, and researching ideological biases in academic journalism. She caught the organizing bug while working on a congressional campaign in Florida’s 18th district in 2018 and hasn’t looked back since.

As the Relational Organizing Coordinator for the Massachusetts Democratic Party, Erin works alongside activists, elected officials, and party officers across the commonwealth to organize personal networks for action. She is currently developing and managing a statewide program to promote year-round organizing and build our coalition ahead of the 2022 election cycle.

While at UMass, Erin worked in the STPEC office as a member of their office staff. She was a RA her Junior year and studied abroad at the University of Technology in Sydney Australia. She interned with the American Friends Service Committee, participated in undergraduate research, and of course worked in the career services center.
