Lauren Crociati’19, Journalism, is a Senior Account Manager at Ten Bridge Communications. She says: “At TBC, we create strategic communications for clients in the biotech field to help them reach multiple different audiences, patients, physicians, investors, etc., to help them deliver new and innovative medicines to patients. In my role, I get to do lots of different things and gain experience across many different communications areas – social media, media relations, thought leadership and more. In my day-to-day, I’m often drafting social media content, planning media strategies and reporter interactions and working with my teams to create thoughtful communications strategies.” Following her graduation from UMass, Lauren enrolled in a masters program at Boston University, receiving her Masters of Science in Public Relations in 2020. She then joined Ten Bridge as a Communications Associate, and has risen through the ranks to the position she holds today. During her time as a student at UMass, Lauren was a Communications Intern at the UMass Journalism Department, an Editorial Intern at Improper Bostonian Magazine, and an Editorial Intern at South Shore Living Magazine.
Lauren says, while at UMass: I was the Arts Editor at the Daily Collegian my senior year, and throughout college I wrote for both the arts and news sections. Working at the newspaper taught me so much about storytelling, which is so crucial in a public relations role. Every day in my role I aim to find new and engaging ways to tell stories. The Daily Collegian also helped me become a stronger writer and editor, as well as how to work in an office setting with many different colleagues all aiming to create great stories for readers. I was also a member of Sigma Kappa sorority and had the role of Public Relations Chair. This gave me great experience in developing social media content as I ran our chapter’s Instagram account for a period of time. Developing social media content is another major part of my role, so this gave me a preview into what it takes to create captivating content on social.
