Michelle Aghiarian works as a UX Designer at Veracode, a tech company that provides security solutions to applications.  Prior to her work in User Experience, she was selected to participate in an eight-week training program at The Start-Up Institute.  Her interest in creating an excellent user experience was fostered by her digital work in her position at the American Textile History Museum, and her internship at the Amherst Historical Society & Museum.

After UMass, Michelle began her career working for the Boston Debate League, where she supported Human Resources and Operations, as well as performing Data Management. She then moved into her role at the American Textile History Museum, where she worked in communications and marketing, as well as in fundraising and development for the organization.

During her time at UMass, Michelle held internships at Old Sturbridge Village in Botanical Research, Photography, and costumed Historical Interpretation, and at the Amherst Historical Society and Museum in curation and digitizing the collection.

She also:
• Was a Peer Advisor for the Sociology Department
• Participated in the Grassroots Community Development Alternative Spring Break with her class
• Was a member of Phi Sigma Pi co-ed honors fraternity
