Seniors: It’s Paralegal Season!

Seniors who are interested in pursuing a paralegal position before applying to law school should begin actively seeking at this point.

We are starting to see Paralegal job postings in Handshake, and you will see those shared on the SBS Pathways website in the Law / Legal Services career community as well.  A handful of these may be current openings for December grads, but the majority of them will be for seniors graduating in May.  From now through February is when most of these will be posted and actively seeking applicants, so spend some time over winter break on this!

Paralegal positions are generally a great way to get experience in a law office or related organization, and can be helpful as you decide whether you want to go to law school, and what you might want to focus on if you do.

As always – we recommend getting your application materials reviewed by a career advisor before you submit, and we recommend not waiting until the deadline to apply.  As soon as you see a position of interest, start getting your materials ready to apply.
