NYC Creative Content Marketing Internship
Do you have what it takes to launch a creative and compelling campaign that will spread through the social media feeds of New Yorkers?
We are looking for a talented, ambitious self-starter looking to add to their creative portfolio by designing and launching a fun and compelling social media campaign highlighting the rich tapestry of New Yorkers past and present. The campaign will deploy a combination of interviews and storytelling and highlight the importance of thinking about and planning your legacy. The successful candidate will have an in depth understanding of social trends, photo and video editing, graphic design, production, and marketing.

About the Internship
This position will be responsible for creating video, text, scripts, and graphic design content for The Village Law Firm and The Village Legacy Project, a social media marketing campaign highlighting the legacies of New Yorkers past and present.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the firm’s founder in brainstorming and planning content pieces.
Produce short videos of featuring firm team members and highlighting our outstanding service to clients.
Produce short educational videos about topics related to estate planning.
Produce original video content deploying storytelling about historical figures, the impact that they left on New York City, and related estate planning issues.
Incorporate content into social media campaigns on various platforms.
Optimize videos to fit time and size best practices of different social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
Use Canva or Adobe Suite to create attractive and compelling visual content.
Re-purpose video created in other formats and edit to fit for various social media platforms.
Create scripts for storytelling and interviews with clients and prominent community members about what legacy means to them.
Work with outside marketing agency to ensure a consistent marketing message across all channels.
Assist with maintaining and growing the organization’s social media (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc.) presence
Qualifications
Passionate about the arts, history, and New York City.
Experience editing and producing short form video content using video editing software.
Comfortable narrating video.
Experience using storytelling to promote a brand message.
Knowledge of the latest tools and best practices on emerging social video platforms, such as TikTok and Instagram Reels.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills; ability to make interview subjects feel at ease.
Exceptionally high attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, with minimal direction, while also functioning as part of a team.
Excellent writer, with strong grammar and proofreading skills.
Education or Certification
Studying for or recently obtained Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising or related field.
Hours Expected: 15 hours a week; 6 month minimum commitment
Compensation: $17/hour
Location: This is a mostly on-site position and may require traveling to various landmarks throughout New York City.
