Jessie Giordano was a Political Science major at UMass Amherst, and graduated in 2023. She is a Contract Specialist for the U.S. Air Force. Jessie’s job entails procuring funding for active Air Force projects to ensure that active contracts between the government and its various contractors are upheld monetarily. She also trains new hires as a mentor for them to shadow and ask questions to during the time in which their clearance is coming in. While she was at UMass, Jessie was in the UMass Marching Band, and she was in a sorority. She says that both taught her how to be an active team player and that the bigger picture is usually more important than the individual.
