Tegan Oliver’23, Political Science, is a first year law student at George Washington School of Law.  She began law school after graduating from UMass.  While a student at UMass, Tegan was involved with UMass Women into Leadership, UMass Dance Club, UMass Public Health Club, and Pi Sigma Alpha Political Science Honor Society, among a few other things. Tegan was a member of the 2022 SBS in DC summer internship cohort, and interned at Mercury Public Affairs in DC.  She also interned for the MA Commission Against Discrimination, and MA Senator Comerford’s office, and she worked for several research projects in both public health and political science/legal studies (Breast Health Study, prosecutorial discretion project, Human Security Lab). Tegan says: “these experiences at UMass gave me the skills that I use in law school every day, and they made me a significantly stronger candidate when applying. They also provided me with connections in DC, where I live now, that I have leveraged for information and opportunities.”
